Papyrus system supports all phases of web-based editorial and publishing process. The system functionality includes:

• paper submission from authors
• finding editors and reviewers
• collecting reviews
• submitting revised versions of papers
• publishing accepted papers

The system is applicable to any kind of scientific journal.

The web system is implemented using open source solutions on the Linux platform. PHP (PHP hypertext preprocessor) is used as a server side scripting language to implement the business logic. Database management system is provided by (but not restricted to) PostgreSQL.
